Description

Sight glass is known as sight window,flow indicator and water flow indicator,Sight glass is used to monitor and verify the flowing medium such as petroleum products, limited gases, solvents or hazardous and corrosive chemicals and liquids which have certain temperature and pressure. Sight glass is suitable for medium measurement in pipelines with high temperature and high pressure, which can also be used normally and effectively when the medium is corrosive. Sight glass has the characteristics of small installation size, small driving torque, simple and quick operation, and it has a good flow regulation function and closed seal characteristics at the same time.

Sight glasses are divided into round, square, rectangular sight glasses by their shape and according to different structures, sight glasses are divided lined/non lined sight glass, sight glass with neck, sight glass with hood, double window/single window, insulated sight glass, sight glass with scrapers, sight glass with flushing device and suitable for sight glasses for powdered materials. Sight glass connection can be flanged, thread and welding.

Double window sight glass includes two observing window and a valve body, the valve body includes a liquid channel and an vertically observation channel, the end of the liquid channel is provided with a pipe connection flange, we can observe medium through the observation channel, the sight glass connection flange is connected to the gland, we will fix the sight glass between the connection flange and the gland.

Usually there is an impeller or an flapper characterizes it on the observation channel near the sight glass-some double window sight glass do not have them, the impeller consists of an impeller rod and a pivot on the impeller rod The impeller consists of an impeller rod and an impeller blade pivoted on the impeller rod, the impeller or flapper rod is fixed to the wall of the valve body perpendicular to the direction of the liquid level in the liquid channel.
